Swedish business and financial news publication Dagens Industry interviewed Hans Tino Hansen on the company’s scaleable SaaS business and growth model and how the company has become a world leader within maritime and land-based security analysis.
Dagens Industri, DI, interviewed CEO of Risk Intelligence Hans Tino Hansen for its special investment edition ‘Invest Talks’, on the scalable growth business model that has made Risk Intelligence a world leader within maritime and land-based security risk analysis.
15.7 percent of the world's total fleet currently uses the Risk Intelligence System, the SaaS solution that sits at the core of Risk Intelligence’s offerings, and the company has had an average annual growth of 20 percent since 2008.
“We are a security and risk company that via our risk system provides processed, analysed and manageable risk information with associated advisory services at sea and on land. We are a well-established supplier to authorities, the shipping, oil and gas industries,” says CEO Hans Tino Hansen.
Globally scalable business model
The core product is the Risk Intelligence System, writes Dagens Industri; made up of three modules: MaRisk, PortRisk, and LandRisk. It is a digital solution that allows customers to monitor global security risks.
The company's main source of revenue is current subscription revenue in the form of user licenses from customers, which contributes to a stable annual revenue base.
“Our growth is driven by increased globalisation and trade. More and more people are realising that they need to protect their transports in order to secure human lives and reduce the financial losses as a result of crime. In addition, quality down to the level of detail is important,” says Hansen in the interview.
